If the account's main owner is playing a game from their own account, or someone else is using family share on that account, you are presented with the "buy" option instead of install/play for the selected game.

Games with 3rd party DRM tied to account-locked keys (such as Uplay), have the feature specifically turned off by their publisher, or are VAC-banned cannot be shared and are not shown in shared accounts.

Hi everybody, I ran into a little problem just now and I'm getting more angry (with R* etc.) by the minute...

Due to the new Update I have pulled my ethernet cable on my Gaming PC a few days ago (to avoid any GTA Update and the scripthook errors) So far this worked without problems because GTA just started in Offline mode.

I strongly dislike how sim 3 makes me have to use origin to play the game and it gets on my nerves.

Especially when I'm in places where I don't have wifi and origin won't let me log in without wifi and it kinda kills my whole weekend when I can't play sims 3 just because origin won't let me.

It reserves HDD space for the patch so, until its installed, it takes up further space on my drive. I was at a point where I needed to get on with Doom or Witcher and I picked the former.: The game is 70GB for me now (PC). The classic Doom stuff is cool with rooms from classic levels (hue hue finally E1M1 in DOOM), classic soundtrack and sounds.

And I think this is new with this patch, but you can make a setting now where it loads a different map after finishing the current one, so you can make full singleplayer campaigns now sort of. Most of those big patches have been for content updates.

Just be glad you aren't in a part of the world where Internet just SUCKS!!!!

Shut down Steam and temporarily move all the files in the root Steam folder somewhere else, and rename/delete to something else temporarily.

Locate game folder, find the program launcher and run it.

The games or software on this list do not have any DRM once they are installed which means that they do not require the Steam client to be played.

Typically, you don't have to tweak the games or software in order to run them wherever you want; the list will make notes of any exceptions.
