t’s a tradition that has spanned centuries and has been symbolized in many cultures as being the ultimate romantic gesture, that of giving flowers to a woman.However, in this age of rising skepticism and declining chivalry, the act of sending flowers to a girl has raised some debate amongst many in the world of dating. To help gain some perspective, I present to you, the dueling bloggers:ost girls really don’t know what they want.Every girl in the world has dreamed about the romantic scene in the movies where the red rose pedals lead to the bed where all the magic takes place.And every girl wishes that it happens at least once – you just have to be sure your not over doing it. Nothing is less effective then sending flowers when a woman is already expecting them.as well as taking input from some of my female friends, I believe I've put together some good bachelor guidelines for when to / when NOT to send flowers, how many to send, what kind, etc.

No matter who you are or who you are trying to secure being with, giving the gift of some nice flowers needs to happen at least once no matter how you end up doing it, and there are a hundred and ten different reasons for that. From the first day a little girl ever watches a romantic movie to the first day she begins dating, the simple idea that a man cares for her if he gives her flowers has been planted in her mind approximately 1 billion times through media avenues like television, magazines, the internet, and movies.

Flowers won't get you out of the doghouse entirely, but sometimes they help just a little. Balloons are also an option - they are a little less serious, and more fun than flowers. If you want ease of delivery, you can order them from an online florist.

Remember though that if your relationship is falling apart, then don't waste your money on flowers ... I usually use a local florist that I am already familiar with. Remember - red roses mean love, yellow roses mean friendship.

You might want to mix in some balloons, too, if she likes balloons, that is.

If she works in an office, be sure that you have them sent via a reputable florist (and not self-deliver some store-bought bouquet) - as the show at work in front of her colleagues is just as important the flowers. You could also send something sweet IN ADDITION TO or INSTEAD OF Flowers such as a flower / chocolate-covered berry combination ... All of the same rules and reasons outlined here apply to this type of gift - which are considered to be gourmet Valentine's Day type gifts.4. One of my old buddies used to send two or three dozen red roses to his girlfriend ... especially because she thought it was weird (because he was unemployed at the time). I know I am repeating myself with that phrase but I'm really trying to prevent some subset of you out there from doing something excessive and unnecessary. Maybe a dozen if you are sending roses, or maybe something similar in size if you are sending something else (like balloons). You also need to consider where you purchase the flowers from.
